HD6750 overheating on BF3

Hey guys I think I know my main cause of the problem. Cheap case I got off new egg when I just built this system but I wanted some input from some more experienced people. When on BF3 the GPU is running close to 60c. I can manually turn the fan up and it will come down to 50c but shouldn't the fan kick up by itself? I put another 120mm in the case and pointed it at the card to try and keep it cool. I dont wanna burn anything out. This is my first build in 7 years as I kind of got out of the game and I am relearning to say the least. Any help would be great. Thanks.

60C is actually a great air cooled temp. I'm happy that my overclocked 6950 maxes out right around that temp. Don't worry 😉

That does seem kinda hot for an HD 6750...

Your killin me here. First I thought it was ok. Now it seems hot. Ugh. Ha ha I wanna be sure what is okay before I run it a lot like that. $100 vid card might not seem like a lot but 100 bucks goes a ways for me. Don't need this burning out.

That 6750 can be clocked near 6770 speeds on stock and still run under 60cel with good ambient temps and good airflow.

Had one up till about 2 weeks ago it was pretty capable with BF3 but 60cel is fine for the card i would worry if temps are above 75cel but not 60cel.

you are either joking or you have no idea what you are talking about. 60 C is NOT hot for that or any other card. if anything it is very low.

a 6750 is the same as a 5750 and those hit 70s and 80s C in reviews.

So I could clock it up higher and not worry then? Safe zone is up to 70C and not any higher then 75C?

Safe zones are actually higher than 70C or 75C, GPUs can take pretty high temperatures. While lower is obviously better, I try to keep my video cards below 80C as a max and below 70C if possible.

Download and install MSI afterburner and use the built in fan control and you won't have to worry about high temps.
