So, I just got in a new HD 5830 (the Sapphire Xtreme version) but when I put it in I couldn't get it to start up with HDMI for some reason. The system posted just fine and I could see it booting, and I even could shut it back down correctly (not forced, regular windows shutdown) but it wouldn't detect my HDTV plugged in (using it as a monitor).

So I ended up moving the card down a couple slots then plugging in my old 5770 in the topmost PCI-E slot, and booted into Windows. Then when I plugged the TV into the 5830 it worked fine. I dunno what's going on but my friend just bought a few new cards as well and he said his 5770 did the same thing-wouldn't boot on HDMI at first but it'd boot with DVI, etc. Unfortunately I don't have other stuff to test with, any clues as to why it won't boot up with HDMI?

I'm running an ASUS P5k with the latest BIOS if that means anything.
