hd5770+Sapphire Display Port = Big Problems

Hallo,

have Problems with my Display Port. I use a Display Port Adapter DP-DVI (Sapphire Aktiv DP Adapter). When i pluged in the DP Adapter my Monitors always went black and Lost Signal.
It seems so that the Monitors will always recognize new and new. In Catalyst the Monitors appear and disappear.

Sometime is has worked for a few Minutes and than the problems cames.
When i unplugged the DP Adapter all is normal.

I have uninstall the Catalyst and use only the Win7 then its worked also for a while but ohne for a while.

this cable above is what your thread is about? and its not working properly for you?

When i unplugged the DP Adapter all is normal.

So your monitor doesnt need this cable? why use it then? Do you use more multi monitor setup? 2-3 pc screens?

Lose connection in the cable or something? inono...


How many monitors are you running currently? Im assumeing the problem is when your running 2-3 monitors (where the 2nd and 3rd are useing this type of cable?).

Where are your problems? is it in running crazy high resolutions in games?

Yeah this calble:Sapphiere DisplayPort to Singel-Link DVi Adapter.

Normal I use 2 Monitors:
1. Ilyama PL B2409HDS (DVI)
2. Toschiba TV (HDMi)

I buy the 1. one new and now i wanne use my old TFT (BenQ
HD) as a second Monitor (extend) for working.

My New setup is:
1. Ilyama PL B2409HDS (DVI)
2. Toschiba TV (HDMi)
3. Benq 22HD (DP->DVI)

I have also Test the DP Adapter with the Ilyama, Problem is the same.

The Problem even appear when i have only on Monitor connected via DVI or HDMi (TV). I plugged the DP in and its begins or somtimes its worked for a few minutes and then its begins. I also even change the Cables


I dont need it for hight resolution Games not really. Normally i will use Mon 1+3 (extend)for working, Casting+Streaming. The 2. Monitor is Cloned most of the time.

Many of the DP adapters are absolute crap. First is it an active adapter.

If it is not you are limited to low resolutions.

Currently there are only two companies actually producing large quantities of DP adapters and I had to RMA the one I bought as it did not function properly. I ended up purchasing a DP capable monitor.

Turn your eyefinity resolution to the lowest setting that stretches across all monitors and try it. If it works the issue is with the adapter itself and you will need to RMA.

Hiho,

After I have install, deinstall ... all drivers, it wont worked.

I have format my System and Install Win7 64 new and now "as it seems" ist working fine with Catalyst 11.2. I think there was some problems with some drivers and programs.

I hope it will work also in the future

I am back.

It has worked quiet well but after installing all Win7 Updates and other drivers, Programs,... its the Problem cames back. The Catalyst will crash and start new (CCC Symbol disappear and came back). The last driver was logitech webcam+mouse.

i also read about some "similar" Problems Crashes with Cat 11.2 and Sp1


Now i have deinstall the logitech Webcam driver to see if this caused the problem or if is it win7SP1 and Catalyst 11.2.

It has worked for about 9 hours with many reboots and all 3 Monitors was always connected.

I don't understand it.

Some more Information

Without SP1 of win7 64 + catalyst 11.2
3 Monitors are working quit well in 2d/idle
3 Monitors in 3d (game), Problem appears

with SP1 of win7 64 + catalyst 11.2
3 Monitors 2d sometimes works, sometime xou click on sometihing, like browser tab it appears
3 Monitors 3d Porlem always appear
