HD4850 Dual Monitor Problems?

Just bought 2 x 22" monitors (1680x1050), and am having an issue hooking them both up to my Sapphire HD 4850. When I hook them up, 1 of them displays in 1680x1050 like normal, but the other one will do a max resolution of 1024x768. Is this just a limitation of the max resolution of the card?

I tried downloading Ultramon and forcing it to display the second monitor @ 1680x1050, and the screen either goes black, the driver keeps failing, or I get colorful vertical lines, but it always locks up the machine. I updated to 9.6, swapping between DVI/VGA, still failing. Each monitor displays perfectly fine at 1680x1050 by itself.

I'm curious, is this just a limitation of the card, crappy drivers, or what? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!

Specs below:

AMD Opteron 1.65 @ stock
ASRock 939dual-sata2 mobo
4 x 1GB DDR400 (Patriot)
Sapphire HD 4850 @ stock

I got a problem with a dual screen setup on my Sapphire HD4850 as well. Used the 9.4 drivers on Windows XP SP3 and the 9.5 and 9.6 drivers on Windows 7 RC1 x64, but there's no way in hell I can make the card recognize the TV I plugged it to, no matter using composite ou component video connections. Don't know if the problem is directly related to yours, but I found it worth mentioning since it is the same card with trouble to properly do dual screen... :(

PS: Since Sapphire makes a ton of different HD4850 models, I'd like to know which one is yours. Maybe we got a bad batch of something like that. Mine is part number 100245L / 288-20E81-550SA.
