I have a OPT 144 (not OC for now) and a NV 6800 GT (it have a Ultra bios on it).
I thought this would be good enough to play a HD video. The one i'm trying is the Supremem commnade HD verison. When it plays my CPU is at 100% and the trailer is very choppy.

I have hardware excellation at 100%. I even DL a trail of Pure video and it doesn't seem to help. I might not have configure Zoomplayer right to use purevideo or it just doesn't help. Zoomplayer and Quicktime are pretty slow. Should I be using another Player?
Also I heard pure video might not work on the 6800 card, but they work on the 6600. Let know if this is the case as well.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, search for some combo of "6800 PVP defective". But in any case if not sure aboot config then try NV's player as it is prolly much simpler and sure to work (if anything will).

For playing QT HD with other decoders rename the extension MOV to something else suitable such as MP4 or even AVI (all depends upon player settings and codec priority &c.), else configure other players to use DirectShow rather than QuickTime for MOV files.

Don't know how good the NV decoder sans HWA is for H.264 so if that does not pan out then try some others. Even Apple's decoder seems to perform better with Media Player Classic than their own player but I find the combo of MPC and Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 decoder to be best at the mo'. Some have success with Ahead/Nero/Ateme. Other pop options are CoreAVC or the free free libavcodec in ffdshow. Or hit google or doom9 for others.
