HD utilities?

can anyone recommend some HD tools for defragging, low level formating, and diagnosing HD problems?

preferably shareware/freeware. I just use vender specific ones like WD's lifeguard.

Defrag: Diskeeper Lite (Freeware) or Vopt (Personally I like Norton Speed Disk best but it isn't free/share)

Low Level Format: Do a fdisk (remove all and remake all) then format /u , if that's not sufficient for some reason then you need the LLF Util from the drive manufacturer.
