HD to SSD (Solved)

I've done it before, but forgotten the steps. W10 with 500 GB HD, to be replaced with 240 GB Sandisk SSD. There's less than 70 GB on the HD. I have at my disposal, Partition Assistant, Macrium Reflect, and Aomei Backupper. I note that Aomei Partition Assistant, has a Disk Copy function, which will allow me to optimize (align?) to SSD. Unless I'm mistaken, this seems ideal. How to?

Thanks in advance.

I recommend Macrium Reflect. It will properly align the data on the SSD.

From the main screen, click "Clone This Disk" underneath the partition for the 500GB HD. Follow the steps and you should be good to go.

First, whichever cloneware you choose, create with it a bootable drive (CD or USB Flash) and use it. Don't do it from within Windows.
