I curently have XP on an 80 GB HD.. which is formated as one drive C:

I have another drive that is 120 GB and is formatted as.... E:Storage F:Games & G:Temp

This may seem like a dumb question.. But I just want to make sure... But if I am reinstalling XP on C: will I loose or will it mess up the drive letters on my other drive..

What I would like to do is move a few recent DLs over from C: onto the other drive.. into one of the partitions. I would assume they would remain the same since Im NOT messing with the other drive.. but just thought I would ask to make sure.

Thanks

I think you can try this:

Copy the files
Remove the second drive and install OS.
Replug the second drive after your installtion.

This is correct. When you are reinstalling, just make sure you only choose to change the partition you want to change (there is basically a list of which partition you want to install XP on, so just make sure you choose the proper one).
