Hi All.
I have two physical HD's. On the second Physical HD, on the last partition, I also have my Paging file for XP. I have tried several times to defragment my G:\ drive using Diskeeper 8, but it doesn't do it completely. It is a 40GB Partition, and 16GB is free space. Diskeeper reports that there is 21% Volume Fragmentation, and 35% Data fragmentation. When I click on Defragment, it only runs for about 10 seconds, and then says:
"Diskeeper has completed a defragmentation run on this volume and there remain 1 fragmented files and/or directories and 1 excess fragments. (There were 1 excess fragments before the defragmentation run, and now there are 0% more.)
The average number of fragments per file is 1.04."
But when I look at the Drive Map in Diskeeper, it looks like 1/3rd of the partition is still fragmented. Anyone have any ideas of what is the problem??
(Ohhh, and BTW, all of my other 4 partitions work find and fully defrag when using Diskeeper Pro 8.)
