Daily, I listen to my public radio station tout the advantages of HD radio over traditional FM.

If it's so great and wonderful, why is it that the makers of stereo receivers and tuners and the car radios have yet to start incorporating it into their equipment?

Is it a licensing deal, politics, or what?
 
No demand.

But its definitely available in the aftermarket....just not OEM. People are still far more interested in AUX inputs and iPod integration.
