Just finished building a new computer. First one. Got a question which i think is easy but am too tired to scrounge up an answer for so im askin u guys. My hd is 250 gig and windows is only showin it as 127. I know its an xp things and sp2 didnt fix it yet. any way for me to fix that? I know i could fins it out myself but its 145 in the mornin and im beat so i figured somebody else would know and give me the answer in like 2 seconds. Its a 7200.8 seagate SATA drive. Its my one and only hd right now too. Any more info needed ill add if ya need me to. thanks a bunch in advance.
 
There are multiple threads on this. I'm too lazy to look them up, but they are out there if you do a search.
 
During installation, make a separate partition for your OS on that SATA drive, and install your OS there.

Once you finish your installation, get to Windows, and go to:

Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management --> Disk Management --> right click on your drive's blank partition, create an extended partition, and format that partition.
 
There you go! Prome wasn't too lazy to find the answer. Since you are beaten and tired, you can also use a Partition Utility software like Partition Magic or Partition Commander to fix your problem.
