I have ASUS p4p800 deluxe and i have wd raptor 36gb coonected to mobo and wd 200gb 8mb connected to Promise UTA card. The wd raptor also came with SIG card. I am running wd raptor with win xp, and 200gb is just for storage. Does it make a diiference if both drivees will be connected through supplied cards or directly? Which is better for overall performance? Also, any softwware is should d/l etc. ? Thanks 🙂

I always connect my HD w/ OS to the mobo directly cause bios is typically gonna look there first to boot, but I don't know if there's any performance gain as long as both mobo and IDE card has ATA-100 which they should. Sounds like what you're doing is fine.
