HD Problems

My PC is 2 years old, it worked fine for 1,5 years, because now, it's acting weird, i can switch on the computer without problems, really faster and everything works ok, but sometimes (it's very random), the hd sounds like a "click" (this is the 3rd hd with the same problem, i bought 3 hd's in less than 2 months), and freezes, or sometimes it reverts to pio and i need to reboot.
Then, when it reboots sometimes it takes a lot of time to detect all the devices. My computer now can reach an uptime of 2 days, 1 hours, 15 minutes, 1 week, because it's very random, i thought it was overheating but i bought a fan cooler now the hd temp is (43ºC) and i get the same problem. What is causing that problem? HD? CPU? Motherboard? PSU?

Specs:
Intel Celeron 1.70GHz processor
RAM: 2x512 DDR PC2700
Video: nVidia GeForce FX5200
Motherboard: ASRock GE-PRO M2
HD: Samsung SpinPoint P80

Thanks in advance for your help.

Clicks by hard drives mean death is coming! If I were you, I would save any data I can as quickly as possible. PIO start ups are also confirmation that your drive is about to die. What brand of HDD is it?
Go to the manufacturer of the HDD and download their free diagnostic software and run it to see if the drive has any errors...also run Scandisk and Disk Defragmenter on the drive.

Just noticed you said it was a Samsung SpinPoint P80...went to their site and noticed they had a utility...try downloading it and test your drive

Yes i tried that utility and it didn't found any errors also i've ran scandisk (a lot of times) and disk defragmenter and it shows no errors too.
I've tried with 2 Maxtor HDD's and it works fine for 1 month and then the same problem.

Hmmm....that would lead me to your IDE controller maybe...have you tried moving it to the secondary IDE channel? Have you also tried using different ribbon cable....those do go bad sometimes.
