Specs on my mom's computer: identical to mine excep BX6R2 mobo and an old WD 2GB HD.
We're both running Win2K Pro.
My mother's computer booted to Win2K with the following message: Problem loading DLL. Please contact your Sys Admin.
So I came in to help her. I found out it's having trouble with hal.dll. I copied hal.dll to a disk, and entered the recovery console. When I tried to copy it, it said access is denied. So I tried the auto recovery option. It said it couldn't find a version of Win2K installed.
Much trouble later, I take her HD out and put it in my system. My system recognizes it, but says Error Performing Inpage Operation and won't let me read it. Scandisk says it is healthy and active... what can I do to read it? Thanks.
