I have two 80mm intake fans at the bottom front of my case. I'm about to put in my hard drive (Seagate 7200.10), but I'm stuck on where to put it to keep it coolest.

I could put it above the fans, level with the fans, or below the fans. Right now I'm stuck between level and below, but I wanna know what you guys think.

the place with the lowset airflow on the fan is the middle. The top and bottom edges have the most. So:

The O is the center of the fan, the wavy lines are the airflow that will most likely cool it the best, if you get what im saying. The long line of equal signs is the harddrive. This is a side view of the setup.

HDDs don't require a lot of airflow to keep their cool - a small breeze across the top and bottom (bottom - PCB side - is more important) and they'll be happy.

I usually just install them wherever, and they work fine. Although I do put them near the fan at the bottom front of the case, if the case I am using has mounting spots there, mostly so I can use shorter IDE cables.

I have a 120mm fan for intake that blows right into the HD cage. My setup looks like this.
