Ok, check this out, Im in Windows XP
I have Two maxtor harddrives on IDE 0
and now a new WD 120GB as master on IDE 1.
This setup works fine, BUT
When I try to hook my CDR drive back up as master on IDE 1
and set the WD as slave on that channel
one of the partitions on the master drive on IDE 0 starts to show ONLY SOME folders and being "unformatted"
in other words, when i browse that partition and i try to view particular folders, windows asks me if i want to format that drive.
but when i disconnect the cd drive, everything is ok again.
The cd drive works fine when i just have that on IDE1.
What gives here ? Anyone have a clue?
PS. I checked the jumpers on everything about 30 times. They are all set correctly.
All drives are on DMA, I checked that too.
