HD partition/cluster size recomendations

What is your opinion on hard drive partition sizes and cluster sizes? I currently have my 15gb maxtor partitioned into 10gb and 5gb. Since the latter is under the 8bg limit, it uses 4k clusters, is there any real worthwhile advantage to this? I know it helps save speed, but what about performance?
