HD: lots of accessing/noise

My brandnew retail Seagate emits a lot of noise (this is by far the loudest hd I've had for years, so I believe there's something wrong), and it seems to be constantly accessing or recalibrating. The Seagate online drive-check didn't report errors, neither did a Windows chkdsk. Does anybody have this hd and can confirm the high noise level??

Even if the drive does happen to be ok and works perfectly, you still should get it exchanged for another just to be safe. Losing data or a hard drive is too much to risk.
