HD Homerun Question

Hi Guys. I just got my new build put together, and part of the package was a nice indoor antenna and a hdHomeRun unit. I've tried setting it up on Vista 64 with VMC, but it froze during setup (~10 minutes no response). Same thing happened last night when I tried it with MediaPortal - it froze when I tried to view a channel.

I'm really only looking to use this to add a PVR to my setup. I won't be viewing any of the recorded content on a computer. Instead, I'll stream it to my xbox 360 and watch it on my main tv. The idea was to get a modest amount of decent OTA TV that I could watch whenever I wanted without shelling out $$$ to Comcast.

So, I was wondering what software you guys are running with the hdHomeRun? Any ideas? Pointers? I'm new to the HTPC scene, so any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Windows Media Center. If it's freezing, you may have a hardware issue of some sort.

How good is OTA reception with the HD HomeRun?

And can this work in a wireless network (Apple Airport Extreme - previous Gigabit ethernet "n", but not dual band)?

My father had very poor results with GB-PVR... I'd rather use MythTV, personally.

I use BeyondTV.

And I would doubt that wireless could handle it.

Yeah, I think wireless is my issue. Got a 50' cat6 cable enroute for newegg that I'm hoping will fix me up.
