Well, I have a 360 and got the HD-DVD drive for about $170 after tax and $40 off $199 Circuit City coupon. 360 was a sunk cost for me because I had no idea they were even considering the HD drive prior to making the purchase.

Xbox 360 HD DVD drive does 1080i via component on my setup.

I found it on FW if I remember correctly. You have to print it and you may have trouble getting them to take it though most seem to have no trouble at all. I read you can get an original from the post office in one of those change of address/moving packets but I never verified that myself.

IMO, they still don't. They are the only company I know of that artificially inflates demand for videos by producing them for a limited time every 5 years or by failing to even create a DVD of a movie for 20 years.

huh? this is more like a beta vs. vhs war

When dvd first came out many studios (Paramount, Disney, a few others) only put their titles on the DIVX format. Similar situation with Blu-Ray vs. HD DVD.

DVD VS. DIVX

no it's not exactly the same. DivX sucks in comparison. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are very very similar in the features they offer. HD-DVD has the price advantage and Blu-Ray has the storage advantage.
