HD duplication/upgrade/copy program?

Are there any GOOD harddrive duplication programs? For direct copy of a smaller HD onto a larger one? I know doing a new install is better in most cases. But since I don't have the original computer that would be tricky!

I remember using the original Windows 3.1 filemanager with Win95 one time but that prompts for system and hidden files if I remember correctly. Any other good non-demo software?

Thanks,

Yes, Ghost is the best tool for this, however it's not as. . . free. . . as FileCopy.

Filecopy does pretty much the same thing with more of a command line interface. Now, some one is going to jump in here and yell about how FileCopy and XCOPY don't preserve the 8-letter abbreviations of long file names in some rare cases where many long file names share the first eight letters. In reality, this problem is exceedingly rare, since most Windows registry entries and application INI settings now refer to things using the proper long file names, and when they don't, it's almost always to refer to a file whose first eight letters are unique anyway. In other words, FileCopy will work 99.999999% of the time, and has worked 100% of the time for Russ, myself, and others.

Ghost is still better though, if you can get it.

Thanks for the link Modus. It worked quite well and fairly fast. Ghost sounds like a good product, but free and small was more along the lines of what I was looking for. :)
