HD detection

I borrowed a 250GB HD from a buddy and when I hooked it up as slave it was detected on BIOS and system hardware, but I cannot access it. It is not assigned a drive letter. What can I do to access it. Thanks for responses. -Butch
 
Well from your description, it looks like it doesn't contain a valid partition that Windows recognizes. You will need to goto Window's disk manager and create the parition and then format it.

But check with your buddy to make sure there is no important data on it, etc.

Its quicker to goto help and type in disk management under the tab "Index".
