Hi, I recently had power supply problems where my hds would not get enough power to initalize. Anyway long story short, I replaced the power supply and my computer is working, EXCEPT for one harddrive. When I was having power supply problems, I made the mistake of attempting an installation winXP on my 160gig drive, which was primarily a storage drive. The installation stalled when it was copying xp files over and now the HD is corrupted. The HD shows up in Windows, but it is not properly formatted. I ran Ontrack Easy Recovery and it found all the files on it but I needed another harddrive to put the data on. Is there a faster way to recover my data? It took ontrack 3-4 days to fully scan my HD. Or should I just use chkdsk to fix the HD?
