Just got a laptop from a customer. His HD crashed. I slaved it out on a desktop and the drive letter shows up, but no 'capacity/spaced used' info'
The customer has PGP installed on the drive as well. And normally PGP will ask for the pwd to access the drive. This isn't happening in this case.
I can try to run chkdsk, but it says the drive is in RAW format. Probably b/c the HD hasn't been authenticated by PGP?
Anyhow....last ditch effort I'm trying is booting in w/a PGP recovery CD to see if I can at least decrypt the drive. Any other ideas are welcome
Update: I had to use the 'recover' command to ......uhhhhhh...recover the passphrase lol. Now I'm FINALLY able to decrypt the drive.....man what a PITA!
