HD Crash?

Working on a Toshiba laptop, and it just went dead on me. I rebooted and it tells me a read error occurred, press cntl-alt-del to reboot. try that and nothing happens. Has my HD died on me?

Looks like I need to do a Windows repair....

Well the laptop just crashed again while doing a chkdisk. any ideas?
