Hi, I'm a noob and am about to embark on building my own comp system. Here's what I plan on doing.

Mobo: MSI K8N neoPlatinum nForce3
CPU: AMD64 3200+
Ram: Corsair or Kingston PC3200 DDR 512MB (it's all I can afford right now)
PSU: Anatec True480
Video: ??? not sure, Probably MSI's new ATI X800 pro

Here's my question. I have a WD 120G SE Ultra ATA/100 Caviar HD that i'd like to use. Is this thing compatible with my mobo? I know it is capable of SATA, but I really can't afford one as of now.

Also, this comp will be used for gaming. Any suggestions?

Thanks

The drive will work fine with the mobo. Next upgrade should be to 1gb ram so the vid card can operate full out. Cpu is fast enough, but ½gb ram may not be enough to feed it doing all the AI, physics calcs, etc. at high frame rates.
