HD Camcorder Recommendations

A project came up unexpectedly which requires a good bit of footage. Being that my old camcorder is on the fritz (an old Sharp mini-DV something or the other), I'm looking into getting a HD replacement in the neighborhood of $500 (eg. $600 is alright if it's _really_ that much better than say a $400 model).

So far, I've found up a Panasonic HDC-TM90K for $400 new. Any thoughts?
