I get erratic Drive Index scores on Sandra when I run a Benchmark test on my 20 GB Maxtor, k7s5a mobo running Win XP. I get scores anywhere from the 1200 's to 2400 's even when run one after another. I have run this test on other systems and never varied much from test to test. Has anyone else seen this or have an explanation?
