HD 7970 PCB Numbers for Reference Cards. All the same so far?

I'm still waiting to purchase some HD 7970's until a specific waterblock releases. These blocks from AquaComputer have normally been specific to PCB numbers.

The only PCB number I've seen legible from reviews so far has been 109-C38637-00.

If anyone has noted, have they all been the same across reference cards so far?

AquaComputer makes some incredible stuff, but waiting for them really isn't worth it in the realm of water cooling. Assuming AquaComputer's blocks are superior, they probably will only be 1-2C better.

If it is about aesthetics, that is different, their blocks do look sharp.

dajeepster,

Thanks for that.

OVerLoRDI,

I like how thin the AC blocks are and they are full metal and hopefully will also release in Nickel. I haven't heard of any plating problems with them compared to others.

Cheers

AMD is pretty good about not changing heat sink mounts. It has stayed nearly the same for ages. Its possible an existing water block will work on them.

Not the full cover ones but the the core only blocks likely yes. Heck I have a DD Maze4 acetal block I'm using on my 6950 that I first used on an X1800XL!!

Ahh true. If he is looking at one that hits the ram chips and such, then it would need to be specific.
