I've used both the 14.4 and 14.7 drivers. It works perfectly for one boot, but then after the next aero is disabled and CCC doesn't recognize it.(Also, my steelseries keyboard stopped being recognized.) I have a thread below that is full of even more issues. I think my Windows died, but I don't have time to reinstall. :|
Any ideas?

EDIT: It is back after another reboot. We will try again.

Definitely seems like either a Windows problem or a mobo/BIOS problem to me. I'd say reset BIOS settings, then reinstall Windows if that doesn't help.

And if you do end up having to re-install windows ...grab an imaging program like Acronis and make an image of your new windows install, so if this crap happens again, you can restore your pc to a new/clean install of windows quickly and easily for troubleshooting stuff like this.

It could be a weak cmos battery on the motherboard. Swap it out and see what happens.

I rebooted yet again. This time I totally nuked everything AMD or NVIDIA. Reinstalled and the same thing happens. As I am sitting there in defeat a windows notification pops up saying "installing device drivers." Well. :|
I reboot after that and aero, hd and everything is enabled and it has worked since then.

The funny thing is, before windows recognized it afterburner always saw it and the 14.7 drivers and it would play games. (Even firestike at 15 fps) but aero wasn't working. :p

99% sure it's a problem with Windows reading drivers. You should check if Windows has corrupt files.
