I recently upgraded my system,
Fx-8350,
gigabyte 990xa motherboard,
corsair 4GB Ram vengeance
Corsair 300r cabinet
cooler master 600 watt thunder,
al I need is a graphics card so that I can play all the upcoming titles like watch dogs, assassins Creed b 4, bf4 ,and gta5 at ultra settings at 1080p resolution only.
I m from India, here I am confused with which graphics card I should go for?
My options are
:Sapphire hd 7950 vapor x - Rs 24000 ($400)
Msi N760 oc gtx 760 - Rs - 22000 ($372)
Zotac GTX 760 Amp Rs - 23000($390)

Should I go for hd 7950 as it has more vram, which will give me an age over 760 in next gen gaming ?
Or Gtx 760 2GB is enough? If 760 then which one zotac or
note -Zotac has 5 years of warranty compared to the other companies .
Experts help will be really appreciated ...

GTA5 is not announced for PC. It's PS3/360 only.

As for what card to get...the 7950 should be faster overall than the gtx 760 when overclocked. At stock levels the 760 is slightly faster and the 2GB limitation probably won't be a big deal at 1080p.

HD 7950 is the faster card. has 1GB more VRAM. makes it more futureproof as next gen games could push past 2GB at 1080p. excellent overclocker and perf scaling. HD 7950 at average overclocks of 1100 - 1150 mhz puts you on par with HD 7970 Ghz and ahead of any GTX 760 OC card even at 1.25 - 1.3 ghz .

also you can consider the Sapphire HD 7950 boost with dual x cooler. has a reference PCB. better VRM heatsinks.

At 1600x900 I'd buy whatever one is the cheapest. You are limited more by your CPU at that resolution. At 1920x1080 it is a little bit different, where the differences between each card stand out more.

I was in the same boat. After reading multiple articles, I decided to go the gtx 760 route and sli soon. The 7950 (boost) is roughly the same performance wise. Goes back and forth. I would recommend, picking up a factory overclocked 760 with aftermarket cooling.

Here's a nice article comparing a single 760 as well as sli against many other cards including the titan/780/770/680/670/7970/7950 etc

And another article showing the 760 beating the 7950 in ALMOST every test

Msi N760 is the cheapest one . I am going to upgrade my monitor to 1080p within 2 months, But hd 7950 has more 1gb vram and 384 bit .Does it effect much in gaming performance when the next gen games starts rolling out?

If I go for 760 ,which brand provides better cooling and performance ?
MSI N760 or Zotac GTX 760 Amp?
Moreover Zotac provides total 5 years of warranty as compared to other brands of only 3 yrs ..

Probably very little. Then the unreal engine 4 tech demo was running realtime on a 256bit 2GB gtx 680 at 1080p.

MSI has probably the best cooling system out there. So quiet and keeps the card very cool.

The Dual-X 7950 linked above is an excellent card. Unlocked voltage control and a great cooler.

Performance-wise the 760 falls in between the 7950 and 7950 Boost. Overclocked the 7950 will have an advantage and the 3GB may come in handy later although currently no games use more than 2GB at 1600x900 except for possibly heavily modded Skyrim.

So if OP wants to go that route he has to upgrade his psu too.

We're talking single cards atm. :) If the op went sli or xfire 760 or 7950 he/she would need a new psu.

I recommend the evga superclocked / msi gaming or the windforce 760. If you ever plan on sli some day, the evga superclocked blower style.

l will buy either hd 7950 vapor x or msi N760 day after tomorrow from a local store.
Not much difference in gaming performance in 1080p.

I will visit a store and flip a coin. I will come back and post my choice...
Thank you all for your suggestions .
