I've got a 7850 that runs the BOINC project POEM 24/7 except when I turn BOINC off to play a game.

What is the most you would overclock with the stock heat sink and fan for 24/7 operation?

You can get ~1100-1250mhz stable for 24/7 use.
**some people can hit ~1100 on stock voltage, however give it a little extra and aim for 1200mhz :)

I guess it would depend on luck, how good the quality of the chip you happend to get stuck with was.

People that run 1350mhz-1400mhz are most likely pushing 1.3+ volts on them, and have then watercooled ect.
And even then they probably arnt 100% stable, just enough to run benchmarks.

Post like this (probably arnt the norm):

I posted this on Overclockers UK forums, but some may also be inerested here.

Temps after playing BF3 for about 70mins @ 1350 core 1.3v with an Accelero Twin Turbo II cooler fitted.

I would say its probably safe to go for like 1200mhz, seem to be alot of people that do that or slightly higher.
A 7850 @1200mhz gives a Nvidia 580 (stock) a run for its money or beats it, so its still a pretty impressive result.

Gotta remember that they come at like 860mhz, so a jump to -> 1200mhz is like a 40% overclock.
Its crazy that this seems to be the "norm" for them (alot of people running 7850's around the 1200mhz area).
