My daughter's HD 7850 GPU finally died and I need to replace it. She plays Guild Wars 2, Star Wars KOTOR, Dragons Age, etc at 1080P. The 7850 worked just fine at this level. I'm looking at the RX 560, the cheapest being the PowerColor on Newegg at $89 after rebate, but I'm open to other ideas. The GTX 1050 would also be good but it tends to be $20 more.

Anyone have any other suggestions for an equivalent card? I just need something that performs the same as the 7850. I don't really trust used GPU's as I figure they've probably been overclocked and run hard. Plus it seems even old, used GPU's tend to cost more than a new 560/1050.

Given how the 1050 and the 560 compare, I'd say you have the right idea for the $100 or under price tag.
Only consideration left is which specific card / brand... and whether the display has G-sync or not. Given the premium on G-sync displays I imagine that's not a factor. So you may do well with AMD to make use of cheaper 144hz displays, if one is available.
