hello every one,

i want to get hd 7750 for my pc.but my question is is intel e5700 @ 3.0ghz will bottleneck in games and how much fps will i lose.i previously decided to first upgrade to intel g645 cpu(on tight budget)but i have to then wait for 3 months to get hd 7750 as of money problems.i can overclock that cpu to 3.3ghz at stock cooler.so how much there will be difference in between e5700 and g645.can any one show me benchmark between core 2 duo and g pentium cpu.

i am really confused😕

1)my res is 1368*768
2)play only single player mode in games(offline)
3)my aim is to get 40fps at high(not maxout)

my specs:
intel e5700
gigabyte g41 s2p
corsair 4gb ddr3 ram
500gb hd
windows 8 64 bit

7750 is a pretty good match for an E5700, but I suppose the low resolution may result in some CPU bottlenecking (nothing serious).

1366x768 is half the pixels of 1080p, and 7750 is half the speed of a 7850 which is generally agreed to be a decent 1080p gaming card. Just make sure you get a 7750 with GDDR5 instead of DDR3. You should be able to get 40fps minimums in pretty much every SP game.

Is overclocking to 3.3ghz or 3.5ghz will improve performance?

it will, but on the worst cases it's not going to make a huge difference,

I think the e5700 will play most or many games fine...

if you are going to upgrade, I think going for something like an i3 makes more sense.
