HD 6970/ASUS P8P67 CDUIP showing "Link Width = x4"???

OK, New Sandy Bridge system... Just noticed that in CPUID unter the Motherboard Tab, it is showing my Graphic Interface Link Width = x4 and Max. Supported = 16. The card is plugged into the Top Dark Blue PDIe16 Slot.

Why would it not be showing a link speed of x16?

Hmm, only the black slot is supposed to be 4x only. I would try re-seating the video card and taking a glance at bios settings. Even with both the blue and white slots populated it should be at 8x speeds for each. Speaking of the second slot, I'd try moving the card there if re-seating doesn't fix it.

reseated the video card in slot one, still x4.

reseated the card in slot 2, came down to x1.

reseated the card in slot 1 again, back to x4.
