I upgraded to this card from an nvidia card. Deleted the nvidia drivers using driver sweeper. I am currently running vista, when I resume from sleep mode, the display resolution goes to 800x600. When I start up any games, (Crysis, Company of Heroes dirext 10) it does not go to full screen, I can see the windows taskbar. I would have to go into CCC setting and mess with GPU scaling inorder to get the full screen. Also the card is rediculously loud. Does anyone experience these problems with the new cards? Did you do a fresh install of Windows to install the drivers?

Try Alt+Enter. That happened to me in Assassin's Creed, and after doing Alt+Enter once it doesn't happen again.

I think it's best to reinstall windows. There might be some "leftovers" from the Nvidia drivers that are causing this issue.

4870 owner here and I didnt do anything different for my drivers then I have over the last oh so many years. Removed the Nvidia drivers rebooted in safe mode and ran driver cleaner platinum. I dont use sleep mode and I am still using XP, but if I had to redo my OS just to make drivers work the card would be gone so fast it would make my head spin. I came from a 8800 GTX to my 4870 and havent had any issues in any of my games yet, but im also not playing any DX10 games. I also have my fan set to 33% full time so the only time it gets loud is the hairdryer sound when I boot up, and yes its VERY loud but it throttles right back down.
