Hello!

I have an ati radeon 4850 512mb Vapor X version

I'm a graphic designer and i need to upgrade my PC

I thought of buying an other 4850 card to crossfire them

I see that there are also other models like 4850 x2 with 2gb / 1gb

Can I combine a card with the same chip but with more memory ? or with the 4850 x2 with crossfire connection ?

does it worth ? I need a graphics card to be 256bit while I'm working with photoshop premiere after effects etc..

I personally would not buy another old card. You would be better off buying a new card. What are your system specs? That would give us a better idea what would fit your system.

I would buy an AMD FirePro But they are expensive

What would you recommend for graphic design (photoshop, premier, after effects, etc..)

I think that my card is not to bad while running on 256 bit

so that's why I thought of combining an other one like it to boost the whole system

I'm not sure if a vga for gaming is a good investment .. or if its better for graphics than the one I use

I'm also planning to upgrade my cpu to a xeon x5650

You can pick up a cheap HD 7950 3gb on Ebay for about $130 or less and it will run circles around 2 HD 4850s.
