Seems like Newegg always likes to gouge a little on newly released products, though 10 dollars isn't much, and the card does include three full games.

they do earn their nickname of screwegg when new products are released and they always gouge a little. all good, the card's not worth $400 right now anyway. Maybe when drivers mature and reviewers come back and re-review it to see how it does with mature drivers.

btw, TeamFortress2 is out? Wow, shows where I've been (hiding in a corner working, not following games recently).

Same time as Half-Life 2 Episode 2. It comes with TF2 and Portals, IIRC.

Well It does now . And it is Four twenty-nine.

This morning when I ordered mine it was Four o nine

And this morning when I ordered mine and it is on my salesorder , it was covered by the thirty day refund , one year replacement.

Now on the site it says it is just the thirty day refund or replacement .

So I wonder what is goin on with that.

Another wierd thing is my order that I placed at five-thirty AM Central time has not made it out of Step 1(and that is with overnight shipping and rush order).

yea i see it did go up, glad i ordered this morning but now that newegg deal seems the best when you get a free g5. still no luck locating any adapters though.....

Hmmm , My "Rush" order is still at Step 1.
I would have hoped by now it would have changed.
I can see on my Credit Card site where they have sent the request , but that is all.
On a good note , the 2 hard drives I ordered that will be here tomorrow also show the same request at my Credit Card site so I will cross my fingers that they ship it tonight.

Not a bad price all things considered. I have a G5, and like it a lot. Very nice mouse. If it just had two side buttons.. would be perfect. Count that and the $40 it will save you for TF2 and EP2, not that shabby.

I just noticed that now it has changed again to the 30 day replacement and no refund

Yes , I was definately going to buy the HL2 package anyway so this will save me that money also.

i was able to locate this thread from corsair on the 8 pin issue, it seems all you have to do is call tech support and corsair will step up and send you FREE PCI express 2 - 8 pin adapters. it looks as though anyone can contact them to get the adapters, you dont have to prove you have a corsair power supply by a receipt or anything.

Well my order is at Step 3 which means they have charged my card , but not shipped. I am in disbelief. Every other time I have orderd something regular it has shipped that day . I guess maybe they were busy today considering the 2900 lauch , but I was still hoping since I payed the overnight shipping and RUSH processing that it would get out today and be here tomorrow, which it still might do.

If it doesn't I will be sorely disappointed.

ohh its still a good deal but a few hours ago that same combo was $414, this morning it was no combo just $414 for the card alone. i have a feeling they are dumping off some of their stock of g5's since the new version with two buttons is coming soon. i guess in their defense zipzoomfly also jacked their prices up $30 but they aren't offering a free G5. glad i ordered when they were $399, hehehe.

Don't be so sure. Less than 200 HD2900s left at newegg, selling pretty briskly. Looks like people with money burning holes in their pockets don't read reviews and don't visit these boards.
