HD 2600XT vs Ge-Force 8600 GT

Both are a huge waste of money unless you have a pressing desire to play DX10 games at unplayeable framerates .

Get a 7900GS or X1950 Pro instead as they're about the same price anyways and a crap load faster.

If you need something thats low power and cool that requires no external power then get the 8600GT, otherwise spend your money on a much faster DX9 card cause you ain't gonna be DX10 gaming on either of those cards.

I would go for 8600gt. 2600xt does better for newer games though.

1950gt is around the same price too. You might want to take into consideration.

Yeah, I actually was measuring this two:
MSI NX 8600GT and Sapphire Radeon HD 2600XT

I'm trying to choose the video card for my new system, the rest of the components will be:

Between those two cards I'd pick the 2600XT. They basically perform the same and the 2600XT is my personal preference. But if you get the GDDR4 version which some people think is a total waste of money (including me for the most part) you can get Valve's Black Box coupon which is pretty sweet. Couldn't find that with any 8600GT.
