HD 2600Pro + 2GB RAM vs HD 2600XT + 1GB RAM

Just curious,which would give better performance? HD 2600Pro + 1GB RAM or HD 2600XT + 2GB RAM?

Keep in mind that i don't need maximum settings in games and i don't plan on playing Crysis, resolution will be 1280x1024 (Maybe 1440x900 once i get new LCD) but i'll go for whichever setup can get at least Medium in Company of Heroes and Medieval 2: Total War @ 1680x1050 if i decide to get a Acer 20" WS

I say none of the 4 above. If you insist on a DX10 card, I'd say 8600GT for less than $100 after rebate, and 2GB RAM. If you don't care about having a DX10 card which can run medium (which you shouldn't care for as it's not really realistic), then get a 7900GS for less than $100 after rebate if you can find one or something.

I hate to deal with rebates i have had problems with them, and i have XP so no Dx 10,but its either HD 2600Pro + 2GB RAM or HD 2600XT + 1GB RAM,which will run M2TW and CoH best?

get a cheap 2600xt and 2gb of value ram.

there is a 2600xt on newegg for $95 with free valve black box. thats cheaper than some of the 2600pros (i think at best you are saving $15 anyway)

Grab this HD2600XT for $95 (no rebates) and this Corsair ValueRAM 2GB kit for $55 shipped (also no rebates).

If you really can't swing $150 total then lower the RAM instead of the video card (much easier to add more RAM later than to swap the video card for a better model). Go with the Corsair ValueSelect 1GB kit for $30.50 shipped.
