hcontrol.exe

I use a ASUS laptop, wanted to set/give functions to the buttons on the top... googling tells me hcontrol.exe sets this (I installed the acpi drivers), but no amount of googling tells me HOW to set anything, just that hcontrol.exe DOES set them.

So... how do I actually set the buttons? Driving me half-mad. Registry?
