HCLK + PCICLK setting on ABIT KT7

I get a major freeze-up (wouldn't boot at all for half dozen times) when I choose HCLK + PCICLK for the DRAM Clock setting on the ABIT KT7 (no RAID) mobo. I'm running with Duron 750 overclocked to 1 Gig (stable under Host CLK setting), WinME, 128 Meg Crucial Ram. I also have an old SCSI board for my scanner in the one ISA slot.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks,

obviously your ram doesn't like to play along.. is it PC100 ram by any chance? Also if it is PC133 cas3 and you're running it at 100MHz cas2, you might get problems when going to 133MHz (hostclk+pci) if you don't alter the cas setting to 3

Thanks for your response, I believe you've helped a lot.

My RAM is PC133 and I've been running it at CAS 2 (interesting that when trying to become stable, I tried it at CAS 3 and it would not boot). I didn't realize that the RAM was directly tied to the CAS.

If you can educate me any more on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.
