HCI memtest only errors when testing more than available RAM?

Why does the HCI memtest only give me errors when I test more than the available RAM? When I use 8 instances of 975/950 RAM I receive errors, but when I use 7 instances of 950/975 RAM and 1 instance (the last 1) with 'all unused ram' then I receive no errors.

i7 4710 hq, at the moment 8 gb ram, gtx 850, quad core but due to hyperthread 8 threads so therefore 8 windows/instances/times HCI memtest open at 1 time
