HBO's OZ is a heavy show

I got HBO on a comcast special for a year and have been watching reruns of OZ (never saw it when it was originally aired). It is a heavy show and it is thought provoking.

A scene with Tobias Beetcher (sp?) kept me up a couple nights ago....

One of my favorite shows when it was on, I still rewatch the series every now and then. Wonderful writing but it's HBO so..

Violent prison rape tends to do that....

Yes it does, but that wasn't the scene.

***********SPOILER**********************

It was the scene where his boyfriend Chris convinced him to take illegel drugs to a dying ex-wife and then called the cops. He basically ruined his life. Very hard to get out of my mind.

On demand is great for just watching one at a time.

I haven't had much experience with HBO. What comes after the "so...." 🙂

HBO's writing is consistantly good, there have been very few shows they've put out that I didn't like. Sopranos, Rome, Deadwood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mr. Show, the list goes on and on. 🙂

Do you know why they took it off the air?

It went six seasons which is pretty good for any show. Ultimately it was ratings and cost if I remember correctly.
