Going to have to watch it on-demand later. Damn you comcast for not offering HBO in Hi-def.

Eh? I have HBO in HD.

On Demand?

I am also confused on what you mean about on Demand, if you have HBO and are paying for HD then you will have HD HBO channels.

I have FIOS TV, part of my triple-play package, which I got primarily for FIOS internet and my great package deal -- $105/mo for unlimited land-line, fast and ultra-reliable internet, and HD TV with/ HBO, Showtime, and Starz.

I love it, overall, BUT . . . Verizon on-demand is still the undernourished, red-headed step-child (few good choices), and the verizon interface blows serious chunks in just about every imaginable way.

Is that the promo price? I'm paying 150 for basically the same thing.

On Demand - means you can play it anytime you want by going through the menu and selected from predetermined selection of movies from Comcast. I can get Starz, Encore, and Showtime on-demand HD but not HBO.

It's posts like this that make me want to firebomb Comcast HQ.

Nah, I obviously lucked out by going for it at the right time, and hooking up to the right CSR's. I do have mad negotiation skillz, if I do say so myself, though. Confidence, natural friendliness, low-key persistence, sounding adult and well-spoken, etc.

I'm William Fucking Shatner, bitch!

I had to sign up for two years, but I was more than OK with that. This was all a little more than a year ago. Not only did I get all that, BUT I also got a $200 Best Buy gift card, and, NO LIE, a second $150 mail-in rebate. I got an HD DVR and a second HD box, as well. Forgot, but I have Encore as well.

They kept going back to supervisors and coming back and going through contortions with the bill to make it all work. Who knows, maybe they were running a one-day contest in the call center? I can tell you that the reps were educated, "know their shit" mature women and that the call center was in Minnesota, iirc.

It was all some sort of perfect ferengi storm of moar, moar, om nom nom. I'm still patting myself on the back. ;)
