He sounds pretty bitter about parents giving their kids minivans to drive. Either he's already got one or he's just going off on how uncool it is for the kids at his school that are forced to drive their parents minivans, rather than a cool car like a mid 90's civic. Extra coolness points if its gas tank is half full of stuff so you hyper mile.

I made it pretty clear that we never had a minivan nor did we ever need it, so thanks for playing...idiot. When I was in highschool most people either drove cars (like they're suppose to) or they drove SUVs (because they're carryovers from when these people were growing up, as expected). I'm tired of people buying too much car and then bitching about how expensive it is to fill up and how *they need* their vehicle when they could manage JUST FINE with a car.

So you're just looking out for the social welfare of AT Garage's kids?

I'm just feeling for when that kid grows up and ends up having to drive that minivan which is what usually happens, they get the "old family car" and in this case it's going to be a minivan. At least with a sedan, it not only looks nice and can be practical for a family, when that kid grows up and starts driving, driving that sedan won't be a drag like a station wagon or minivan would be.

Oh noes! The free car my parents gave me is uncool because it's a minivan or station wagon! They should base their vehicle purchasing decision now off how it will affect my popularity years down the road!
