Hawx, hawx 2

Was just curious about these...I know they are described as "arcade flight", but are they tunnel flight? Like Starfox(sorry, haven't played flying games in a LONG time) you are flying but you are kept along a certain track....which is the same thing they are going to do to space combat in Star Wars the Old Republic. Anyway is HAWX like that or can you fly around in any direction and do whatever?

If you've played games like Ace Combat or Blazing Angels, HAWX is similar to those. You have freedom of movement. The controls are a little odd though. Hard for me to describe.

you can fly in any direction within the arena of battle. hawx 1 was great fun co-op

Hawx is awesome, tons of fun and there's huge replay value in the multi-player aspects. I'm just waiting for the price to drop on hawx 2.

There's a great control system that allows you to disable flight assistance and lets you stall your plane all you like, however you like. The more players that enter your multi-player sessions the more enemies that spawn. It can become quite challenging protecting bombers on bomb runs.
