Hawx 2 bechmark program officially released

Give me 15 and I can give you some decent Radeon 6870 numbers (Dell T5400 w/ X5450 + 8GB RAM)...

I'm downloading now... Will update with 5750 overclocked results when i'm finished...

Edit: 68fps max, 49 average on a 5750 @ 900/1300 clocks using Default driver settings and default game settings in DX11. The bench was running at a 50hz refresh rate for some reason...

Edit 2: After changing the settings to 1366 @ 60hz and 8x AA, Tess On and everything to high/on I got:

79 Max and 57 Average.

Not to shabby for a 5750 @ 900/1300 I guess. I wonder how much my 9450 Quad is helping the numbers over what a dual core would do...

Well, for starter "Terrain Tessellation" is OFF and cannot be enabled under Display Settings.

As always Ubisoft chose to go with the least amount of work and most amount of cash, paid by one specific IHV.
Not that it matters too much - this franchise is probably one of the most mindless ones on the market, true to Ubisoft's corporate approach to almost anything when it comes to PC gaming. 😀

14xfps max, ~90fps min w/ everything maxed out in 192x1080 w/ 4xAA fixed in CCC which overrides game settings (2x AA).
EDIT: I turned vsync off, of course.

140+ max and min of 90+ fps is pretty good considering you have every setting on max, with 1920x1080 res. Esp when you considering your running higher AA than the game settings allow, and that this game was most likely optimised for nvidia cards (because nv payed ubisoft to make it so).

After seeing the game in action Ubisoft won't be getting my money for this game. Good job guys!:whiste:

I guess it will be ok for benching...

Edit: 79 max, 57 average @ 1366@60hz, 8x AA, Tess On, everything set to high with default cat settings.

How did you get your tessellation enabled? I have a 6870 here and it's OFF and cannot be changed...

You need to go to where the game is installed
x86 progam filess/ubisoft........
you will see a dx11 benchmark.exe

It did not start automatically for me either 🙂

No more time for now but this is what its detection tool says:

Remember, I have 8GB memory and a SM5.0-enabled Radeon 6870 here...

@notty22

What is the program you running in the top left corner? the one that shows GPU and D3D

Its part of MSI AfterBurner.
Under monitoring options you select which gpu functions you want 'graphed' and then on each one you can select to show in OSD.
This activate a riva tuner appelet, riva tuner statistics server
Where you can choose , color , position, size of the display.
assign a hotkey and you can make it appear/disappear
very hand to check , sli working, efficiency.
Believe selecting fps -auto shows whats being rendered
ogl
dx9
dx11

yeah the rivatuner programmer did work for all these AIB right? I have used rivatuner and now evga precision and it looks exactly like that shot.

i dont think he actively develops rivatuner anymore and focuses on these projects for the AIB's now? makes sense...he's probably making good money doing it.

Great program too!

Ahh yes, got it thx 😉

Hurray to the first game where I noticed a difference in tessellation right away and didn't have to compare screenshots to spot differences.

With my overclocked gtx465 (800mhz core/ 4000mhz mem) and overclocked e8400 c2d (4.05 ghz) , I got:

105 fps avg. @ 1920x1200 w/ 4x AA tessellation ON
119 fps avg. @ 1920x1200 w/4x AA tessellation OFF

Still really high frame rates, but compared with carfax's gtx480 results and AtenRa's gts450 results, I think my processor is holding me back just a little bit. That said, Ubisoft's atrocious DRM system is present even in this benchmark - you have to create a Ubi account and have a constant internet connection just run the benchmark. No thanks.

Any chance of some screenshots?

That's so stupid it's funny.

That being said if the game is any good I may pick it up. Given Ubisofts latest releases I'm giving that a slim chance.

thanks for the warning, i was planning to install it tonight and run on my gtx 460. no thanks, ubisuck.

Sure what would you like? My benchmark results, overclocks, or both?

I meant of the benchmark itself.
I cba to waste 700MB downloading a benchmark for a game I don't care about (since I have a stupid ISP cap), but I would like to see tessellation on vs off pictures, since most of the time it's used pretty terribly.
