In case anyone actually cares: those of you that purchased school/student copies of software should be aware that you are only legally permitted to use it while you are a student. Read the license. 😉

I got it for free at one of the student things as well. I have yet to use it though, I don't want to bother w/ activation. That and I work for a university.

ReferenceQ. Do students need to uninstall the software at the end of the course?
A. No, students are allowed to keep the software they have installed, but they may not check out or download additional MSDNAA software unless they continue taking courses from a member department. Regardless, they are still bound by the terms of the MSDNAA license agreement.
The department is responsible for informing students of the usage limitations governed by the MSDNAA license agreement, and the department should periodically remind students of those conditions.
