Having trouble with PC anywhere

I just left my laptop at my sisters and I want to be able to remotely access it. I've used PC anywhere successfully when both computers were part of the same network but nowim trying to connect over broadband and im running into problems. Both computers are behind routers but I forwarded ports pc anywhere uses on my sister's routers and i set up a static internal IP. But whenever i try remotely connecting to the external IP it says connecting then goes awy after a few seconds. ANy idea what i am doing wrong>
